Currently throughout the year, there are 3 important feasts marked by holy masses on the Calvary. They are the Feast of the Cross (May 3), the Feast of the Transfiguration of Jesus (August 6) and the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross (September 14). The Feast of Exaltation of the holy Cross, or the nearest Sunday to that day, is the main event on the Calvary, which is also known as the Pilgrimage of Calvary, when the amphitheater above the Lower church usually accommodates several hundred of the faithful.

These 3 major feasts are not the only days in the year when the liturgy is celebrated on the Calvary. During the year, we are often asked by groups of pilgrims or tourists accompanied by a priest, who are interested in celebrating Holy Mass at other times. As these masses are celebrated irregularly, it is difficult to promote them beforehand.

During the year, mainly through Lent, the faithful of the parish Banská Štiavnica, but also from other regions, organize various other events and services. There is also an increasing interest in weddings at the Calvary.
