The chapel had weathered plaster, original stone articles were lacking and were inappropriately replaced by disparate construction materials – such as white brick,basalt cubes and the like. Original stone mantels were deformed.

During the restoration the facade was restored,​​drainage around the chapel was implemented and its interior renovated. The surrounding terrain was groomed, and the original stone steps to the entry were reconstructed. The stone pavement in the interior was repaired and restored as were the wooden lattice doors. In the interior of the chapel an epoxy copy of the original relief was installed. Metal roofing was replaced with wooden shingles. At the same time in the attic the baroque stone vase with clematis was renovated (although the clematis is still missing).
