In the second phase of restoration it was necessary to stabilize the entire building. In the first stage the cement plasters were removed and parts threatened by arbitrary decay were reinforced. Desalination was carried out and the chapel was fitted with new entrance doors. After removal of the cement layer it has been shown that the due both to the ravages of time as well as the subtlety of its structure it was severely damaged and at risk of collapse. Because of this, it was reinforced with special static composite bars, which have been milled into the walls.
